Fish Broth Recipe


Fish broth have lots of nutrients that are important to our body such as essential fatty acids, not only that but it also has great flavour that enhances the flavour of dishes.


2 Medium onions, roughly chopped

6 Peppercorns, crushed

2 stalks of parley roughly chopped

The juice of 1 lemon

5 Litres of filtered water

2kgs of fish bones and heads

1 bay leaf.


Add the onions, peppercorns, parsley, bay leaf and lemon juice to a stock pot, along with fish bones and water.

Bring to the boil for 20 mins and turn down to simmer.

Skim off any foam that develops

Simmer for 1 hour

Sieve the stock into a clean contain (glass jar) store in the fridge.
