👉 So what do we do this information???

💡We can choose to take it on as fear or we can choose to see it as a time take a deep breath and use the TIME to self care and fill our cups. 🍵🍵🍵

*** Now I do want to mention that if you do have a pre-existing condition that would put you at more risk than others, now is the time to work with your health care providers to make sure you are in the best shape you can be in before the cooler weather really hits.

1️⃣ Use the time to learn! 📚

⭐️Take some online classes (I have a heap that I could recommend)

⭐️ Read those books that have been sitting on the shelf or your night stand…. waiting for the right time to pick them up and enjoy reading again…. NOW is the time to do that.

⭐️ Sign up for Audible and learn by listening to some awesome teaching.

2️⃣ Stay Warm! 🔥

🌡 Having a home temp above 16°C helps to increase respiratory resilience and decreases susceptibility to respiratory tract infections. This is even more important for those who are elderly, asthmatics, or have other chronic respiratory conditions.

—>>> For me personal having been on respirator while on life support, I noticed an increase in respiratory conditions… so I aim to wear a scarf as much as possible as the climate starts to cool down.

So keep toasty, wear scarves, dress in warm jackets, etc.

I know I’ve said it before, but I just can’t say it enough… DRINK MORE WATER…

You can make that more fun by adding a slice of lemon, orange, raspberries etc…. 🍋🍊🍓

Drink in water or make it into a herbal tea.

4️⃣ Shop Online! 💻

If you find yourself unexpectedly on a STAYcation… do an online food shopping order. Coles and Woolworths both offer this service, you can leave a note for the driver to leave your shopping at the door, and then collect it once they have left. 🚪 🚪 🚪

5️⃣ Use this time to spend with your family (assuming that you live with them). 🏏🏓🎨

Get out the board games, Card games, play dough, lego, crayons… Your children will love it, and these things aren’t just fun for them… It’s totally good for you as well.

6️⃣ Take the time to reset. 🔬🔬🔬

Reset your home, reset your goals, reset your diet.

Get to all those jobs you’ve been putting off, like minimising the stuff that doesn’t spark joy or serve you anymore.

Declutter.

8️⃣ Counteract the negativity!!! ⚖️⚖️⚖️

Put on your family comedy movie or show. And prepare to Laugh!!!😂😆😂

All the stress, fear and negativity out in the world at the moment doesn’t help up stay strong… So switch it up and balance out what your listening to with some FUN.

I’m sure you have heard the saying… Laughter is the best medicine… it sure is great for the release of endorphins in the brain, making your whole body feel good.

8️⃣ Spend a little more time cooking.🍳🍜🍳

… Lets bring back the joy of cooking, what springs to mind is Eat, Love, Pray…. 💖💖💖

Take a leaf from that book and use this time to feed your body, mind and soul.

9️⃣ Be Generous! 💝 💝 💝

We are all in this together (song) comes to mind… and we are!!! 🎼

So lets look after each other… check that your neighbours have what they need, if they are in a STAYaction… bring them some food and leave it on their doorstep.

Share your toilet roll!!! (not after you have used it of course).

Fear has a contracting energy, making us small… in order to counter act that, we need to be generous and giving where we can.

👉 Both with the media you choose to listen too, how much you choose to listen to it, and how you balance it out.

AND

There will be some local business that will be impacted by isolation… consider seeing if they have online options that you could support.
